WNCC has a tradition known as candle night whereby students are sent as light bearers to spread the gospel. The theme song for this occasion is SEND THE LIGHT, and the metaphor there is the fundamental concept that our students are light sent to the world in general and to congregations in particular. It is a tradition that precedes their practicum experience in congregations.
