Consequent to the deliberation held among the faculty on the ways to improve the fish pond production and income, it was agreed that this year’s stocking of fishes should be in two batches. The first batch to be ready for harvesting by August and the second batch by December this same year. In view of this, the first batch of stocking (which comprises of 1500 juvenile) was done on the 28th of March, 2018. The fishes have been growing fine since then and two stages of sorting had been carried out to separate the fishes into different sizes. Hopefully by August 2018 they should be ready for harvesting.
Similarly, as reported in the last edition, the sales of eggs are still in progress and the birds are equally doing well. Another set of cages have been purchased in readiness for the stocking of the next set of birds.
